Concealed and Open Carry
( 4 Articles )

The Florida Open Carry Movement was created to support and promote the open carry of firearms in the State of Florida.
Florida Carry supports this movement by working tirelessly to legalize, normalize, and finally deregulate the carry of unconcealed handguns by law abiding adults in Florida.

Florida Preemption of Firearms Law
In 1987 the Florida legislature passed a law that declared for all time that county and municipal laws regulating firearms and ammunition are null and void. In 2011 the Florida Legislature added teeth to the law to allow for recovery of fines, litigation costs & fees, and removal from office of local politicians and bureaucrats who willfully break state law.
Despite state and federal law, many Florida communities attempt to place harsh restriction on gun owners. Florida Carry will hold those communities accountable that refuse to repeal those ordinances and regulations prior to October 1st. 2011.
"Communities who continue to break Florida's Firearms Preemption Law will see us soon!"

But wait! I have a license from the state to carry that! Yep you do, but not from the County and your assisted opening pocket knife just violated their laws. There's no preemption to help you. Yet...
